About Our Stafford Flooring Crew and How We Work
We install floors in homes across Stafford and the towns around it, and we have been in business 25+ years. We follow the product instructions and the building code on every job. We explain both in plain words before any work starts in your home.

A Flooring Company That Reads the Fine Print
Over the years we have learned that most bad floors don't fail because of the flooring. They fail because of what went on under it, or what got skipped. A slab nobody tested for moisture. Stairs with one riser taller than the rest. A transition strip that catches a toe at the doorway.
So we work from the rules. Every flooring product comes with written install instructions, and the maker's warranty depends on following them. Stairs, landings and the spots where two floors meet have code rules too. We read both, and we build to both.
Most floor replacements in a home don't need a permit. Some do, like when damaged subfloor framing has to be repaired or the flooring is part of a bigger remodel. If your job needs one, we tell you up front, explain what the inspector will check and plan the schedule around it. If it doesn't, we tell you that too, so you aren't paying for paperwork you don't need.
How We Run a Job
- 01
Test before we lay anything
Most homes around here sit on concrete slabs, and slabs hold moisture. We check moisture and flatness first and tell you what we found. If the slab needs a vapor barrier or leveling, you hear about it before the floor goes down, not after it cups.
- 02
Stairs kept even
Code wants stair risers close to the same height, because one odd step is where people trip. When new flooring changes the height of a tread or landing, we measure every step and adjust so the stairs stay even. This comes up most on stair flooring jobs where hardwood or vinyl replaces old carpet.
- 03
Prices explained, not guessed
We go over what moves the price: room size, the material you pick, the shape your subfloor is in and whether a permit is part of the job. You know what each part of the quote is for.
- 04
Insured, with a year on our work
We carry insurance on our jobs. Every installation comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty, so if a problem with our work shows up in that first year, call us and we will take a look.
