Where We Install Floors Around Stafford

We install hardwood, tile, vinyl, laminate and carpet in homes across Stafford and the towns around it. Before a job starts, we check what your floor sits on, how much moisture the slab holds and whether your city or HOA has rules for the work.

Stafford and the Towns Next Door

Most of our work is in Stafford, Sugar Land, Missouri City and Meadows Place. We also take jobs in Mission Bend, Pecan Grove, Fresno and Four Corners. The crew and the process stay the same wherever you live. We measure, test the subfloor, explain what we found and then give you the plan.

Closer in toward the city, we work in Bellaire, Bunker Hill Village and Piney Point Village. Some smaller cities may have their own rules on work hours, contractor registration or where a trailer can park. We ask before we put you on the schedule. That way a crew is not turned away at the curb, and your old floor does not sit in your driveway longer than it should.

What We Plan For on Every Job Here

  1. 01

    Concrete slabs

Most homes in the area sit on slab foundations. The clay soil swells when it is wet and shrinks in a dry summer, and slabs move with it. We check flatness with a long straightedge and grind high spots or patch low ones before anything goes down. Tile cracks and floating floors click and separate when they go over an uneven slab.

  2. 02

    Humidity and moisture

Long humid summers and wet springs mean moisture is always part of the job. We test the slab before hardwood, laminate or vinyl goes in, then pick a vapor barrier or adhesive rated for that reading. Wood sits in your home with the air conditioning running so it settles in before we install it.

  3. 03

    Permits and HOA rules

Swapping one finished floor for another usually does not need a building permit. If we pull up the old floor and find damage that goes past the floor itself, like rotted framing, we stop and tell you what the city requires before going further. Many HOAs set work hours, and some townhome and condo rules call for sound-rated underlayment. We read those rules with you up front.

  4. 04

    Older flooring underneath

Homes built before the 1980s can have old vinyl tile or black adhesive that contains asbestos. We do not tear it out blind. If it looks suspect, we recommend testing first, and in many rooms the safer answer is to cover it rather than remove it.

  5. 05

    Stairs and doorways

Code keeps stair risers close to the same height. A thicker new floor changes the top and bottom steps, so we measure every stair before ordering material. We also plan transitions so doors still swing and nobody trips at the threshold.
